Samsung Galaxy A72 receives a new update

Multiple company smartphones Samsung already received a November security patch at the end of October, but this does not apply to Samsung Galaxy A72. It is not until the beginning of November that its owners can enjoy the October security patch. The information was provided by the portal SamMobile.

Android 12 don’t wait for an update yet

Samsung Galaxy A72 is still one of the best mid-range smartphones, whose main advantage is the excellent camera. Unlike the smaller related model, the Galaxy A52, it has not yet received a successor, so it is important for the manufacturer that its software is regularly updated. However, don’t wait for Android 12 to update yet. This will not happen until the beginning of next year at the earliest.

The most recent update is numbered A725FXXU4AUJ2 and brings the October security patch. It fixes more than 60 security flaws and vulnerabilities in Android 11. In addition, it optimizes its stability. The update was launched in the form of an OTA update in Russia and from there it should reach other markets in the coming days, including Slovakia.

If the system does not automatically notify you of its availability, you can check it manually in the section Settings -> Software Update -> Download and Install. Before installing it, of course, make sure you have a battery charged to at least 70% of its capacity and are connected to a free Wi-Fi network.

How is the competition?

Samsung also competes with the updates. Xiaomi has updated the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite, Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9 smartphones in recent weeks. And Taiwanese manufacturer Asus recently even announced a plan to upgrade its smartphones to Android 12
