Samsung confirms Galaxy S23 launch date on February 1
We saw it coming for a while, but it’s final: Samsung will soon announce its new flagship Samsung Galaxy S23. When? On February 1. According to Samsung, “epic moments” are coming in a new Samsung Galaxy Unpacked.
February 1 Samsung Galaxy Unpacked
The image appeared on the Colombian website of the Korean brand, although it seems that it was a bit too early. In any case, it is nice to see that Samsung is bringing forward the launch of its new device a bit more, because we expected it to be a little later in February. On the other hand, the launch of predecessor Galaxy S22 was also early in February.
Anyway: February 1 is an exciting day for Samsung enthusiasts. Exactly what Samsung will announce and at what time is still unknown. For example, the brand does not give anything away about what the phone contains, except for one detail. The image shows three cameras below each other and there is also some flora to see at the edges of the image.
Botanical Green
That is probably not a coincidence: the phone would appear in the colors Cotton Flower (cotton flower), Misty Lilac (misty lilac), Botanic Green (botanical green) and Phantom Black (ghost black). It is a pity that Samsung has not opted for Black Adder, at least that is still a plant species. Or Mud Black. Okay, okay, Phantom sounds just a bit more luxurious.

So green fingers at Samsung for Galaxy S23. The rumors indicate that there are three cameras on all three devices (S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra). The Ultra would also have a 200-megapixel camera and be able to take better night photos. One of the most exciting rumors is that Samsung would not use an Exynos chip. Usually we are at the mercy of the Exynos version in Europe, but it seems that our part of the world is also participating in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2: if the rumors are correct.
