Rumors: this is what the latest Samsung Galaxy models look like
In 2023 the time has come, the release of the latest Samsung phone. Three new models will be released: the S23, the S23+ and the S23 Ultra. Earlier we wrote about rumors about the design, the processor, the cameras and the color of the new models. Now that the release is getting closer, more and more rumors about this are popping up. What exactly can we expect from Samsung’s new flagship models?

Screen with fewer curved edges
The screen of the latest Samsung Galaxy seems to have less curved edges than its predecessor. This makes the phone look squarer and tighter. Samsung seems to opt for thin bezels (the edges on the side of the screen) again, so that a lot of space remains for the screen. The most expensive model, the Ultra, will again have an integrated S-pen in the housing, according to the rumors.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor or the Samsung Exynos?
It is a thorn in the side of many European Samsung users: the Exynos processor on which the phones run. Outside Europe, the smartphones get a Qualcomm Snapdragon Chip, which works faster and is more energy efficient.
According to rumors, the latest Samsung phone would also be equipped with the Snapdragon Chip for the first time in Europe. Qualcomm releases a new version, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. This promises to be the fastest Android processor of 2023. There is a good chance that the S23 will get this new chip. Also because Samsung wants to equip the main camera of the Ultra with 200 megapixels: that requires the latest Snapdragon processor.
200-megapixel main camera: sharper photos with more detail
The Samsung Galaxy S22 has a main camera with 108 megapixels and it has been called ‘one of the best smartphone cameras of the moment’. The rumor of a main camera with even more megapixels, namely 200, is therefore good news for photography enthusiasts. The higher resolution would provide even sharper photos with even more detail.
Selfie camera with 12 megapixel
The new devices are said to have the same cameras as their predecessors. In addition to the main camera, that means a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, two telephoto lenses with 3x and 10x optical zoom and a selfie camera. The selfie camera gets a 12-megapixel camera with the basic and plus model (was 10 megapixel with the S22 models). This ensures sharper selfies on your Instagram. For the most beautiful selfies, you should probably go back to the S23 Ultra. This seems to get a selfie camera with 40 megapixels again.
S23 Ultra appears in new color dark red
Did we previously write about an orange color for the new devices? It now seems that the new devices will appear in the colors black, green, beige and pink. The most expensive model would also get a new color, namely dark red (burgundy). We will probably know whether this is correct at the beginning of February next year.
