Rumor: molds confirm iPhone 14 . dimensions

Leaked molds do not show iPhone 14 mini
Molds for cases for the new iPhone 14 line have been leaked via the Chinese social network Weibo. These confirm the sounds we have been hearing for a long time; the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro are 6.1 inches in size. The iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Max Pro have a diagonal of 6.7 inches.
The great absentee: the iPhone 14 mini. Apparently the 5.4-inch models of the previous flagships didn’t sell well enough. Apple is removing these from the lineup. This disappoints us somewhat. Not everyone is waiting for a phone that just fits in a pocket. We expect these four iPhones to see the light of day in the fall of 2022.
‘Camera islands are thicker than their predecessors’
According to the same sources, the camera islands on the back of these new iPhones will be half an inch thicker than the cameras in the iPhone 13. That’s a growth of no less than 5 percent. It also increases in height and width by the same percentage. This is expected to improve the wide-angle and telephoto lens in the iPhone 14.
Although Apple has long equipped its flagship phones with a 12-megapixel camera, it is now rumored that the iPhone 14 Pro models can shoot photos at as much as 48 megapixels. This would also enable 8K video. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm this from the photo of the leaked molds of the iPhone 14.
This photo also means that we will not yet find a periscope camera in the iPhone 14. We only expect this mirror, which should become a huge step forward for telephone cameras, for the iPhone 15 line in 2023.
‘iPhone 14 Pro gets a different front’
Unfortunately, the picture only shows the back of the molds of the iPhone 14. However, we think we know that the iPhone 14 Pro models will also look slightly different from the front. The notch for the selfie camera will make way for a circular hole. The speakers also get their own pill-shaped cutout.
