Rossmann wants to broadcast advertising on television for the first time from April 15, 2023. The drugstore chain is doing the same as its competitors DM and Müller. The main focus of the large-scale TV campaign should be the Rossmann own brands.


Rossmann wants to strengthen the market position of its own brands. A large-scale TV campaign is intended to help with this company disclosures “to underline the high quality of the products”. From Saturday, April 15, 2023, the company therefore wants to broadcast advertising on television for the first time.

Advertising: Rossmann starts his own TV campaign

Rossmann is doing the same as its competitors DM and Müller. Meanwhile, the focus should be on the own brand “Babydream”. The corresponding TV spot can be seen “on all major private channels and other special interest channels relevant to the target group”. Sandra Lorenz, Managing Director of Rossmann’s own brands, explained:

Inflation and the associated price increases have also led to a decrease in the willingness to pay for branded products in recent months – we at Rossmann are also feeling this very clearly. Every third product sold is now a private label.

Withdraw cash: New service at the Rossmann checkout

Also new: a service for withdrawing cash at the checkout. The company informed about this: “From a purchase value of ten euros, customers have the option of having cash paid out to the value of up to 200 euros by giro card, Visa or Mastercard – free of charge and independent of their respective bank.”

The service is also now available in over 2,000 Rossmann branches. Corresponding advertising measures on site meanwhile show in which branches customers can use the offer. Meanwhile, the process was kept lean.

“During the course of his purchase, the customer states the desired payment amount, makes the payment by giro card, Visa or Mastercard and receives the money after entering his personal PIN,” says Rossmann.
