Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 official: premium video doorbell costs 249 euros
Ring has launched its Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2. It is a premium video doorbell with 3D motion detection that will be for sale next month for a suggested retail price of 249 euros.
Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2
According to Ring, the Video Doorbell Pro 2 has very advanced techniques, making it Ring’s most advanced wired doorbell to date. Thanks to the 3D motion detection and the so-called bird’s eye view function, homeowners can determine the exact location and time at which a motion event starts. Both functions are based on radar technology.
Square recordings
In addition to 3D motion detection and bird’s eye view, the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 comes with another first for Ring: the 16: 9 widescreen ratio has been traded in for square footage with a resolution of 1536×1536 pixels. That makes it possible to see the person at your door from head to toe. For example, you can see that the parcel deliverer has placed a parcel on your doormat. Google’s Nest Hello also takes square footage.
The video doorbell also has the ability to set custom motion zones that trigger an event. Setting privacy zones allows areas in the camera’s field of view to be excluded from recording video for more privacy. There is also a microphone to reduce sound distortion. You can connect the new video doorbell from Ring to the wiring of your existing doorbell. It therefore does not work with batteries and requires continuous power.
