Renders and photo of iPhone 15 Pro leaked! This is what the phone looks like
The time has come, the first renders of the iPhone 15 Pro have leaked and give a good idea of what the phone looks like. And to top it off, another photo has also leaked! You must see this!

iPhone 15 Pro renders leaked
Although we do not expect the iPhone 15 Pro until September, the first renders usually leak well in advance. And this year the anticipation starts very early, because 9to5Mac got their hands on CAD models and had them turned into renders of the phone by Ian Zelbo.
CAD models are files that contain the exact dimensions of an object. In the case of the iPhone, these are sent to the Chinese factories early on so that they can already work on covers. So these have now been leaked and reveal some big changes of the iPhone 15 Pro.
This will all be different with the iPhone 15 Pro
The very first thing you notice about the renders is the lack of a Lightning connection. This makes way for a USB-C connection for data transfer and charging – just as the European Union likes it.
The angles of the metal frame and the glass are also different. The glass is now slightly rounded at the edges, so that it forms more of a whole with the rest of the housing. The frame itself is also more curved, reminiscent of the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air 2022. We think that makes it a bit better to hold and that you’re less likely to accidentally touch the screen.
The camera island at the back is once again thicker and larger – the lenses in particular now protrude an awful lot. Our theory is that there are more lens elements in it, as well as larger sensors. The layout of the camera island is unchanged, with three cameras and a LiDAR scanner. Anyway, the camera of the iPhone 15 Pro will undoubtedly take another big step forward.
On the side we see changed cutouts for the buttons of the iPhone 15 Pro. There have been rumors for some time that these are no longer ‘clickable’, but ‘capacitive’. That means that you can no longer press them, but that they are aware when you touch them. A motor gives you the feeling that the button is pressed with a vibration – just like the home button of the iPhone SE 2022, for example.
The changed cutouts confirm the rumors surrounding these capacitive buttons. We are not 100% sure yet, but the fact that the buttons look different clearly indicates that something will happen to them.
The side switch for muting seems to be getting some tweaks. It’s much more elongated than before, so we don’t think there’s room to slide it forward and back. It could be that the switch is getting smaller and that we have to slide it up and down from now on.
New dimensions for the iPhone 15 Pro
Also striking: the iPhone 15 Pro seems to be a fraction smaller than the iPhone 14 Pro. This has to do with the thinner screen edges. Most likely, the iPhone 15 Pro has the same 6.1-inch screen, but just with this slightly smaller housing. Nothing has changed on the Dynamic Island, which has the same shape and size as the iPhone 14 Pro.
And last but not least: a photo
Shortly after the renders appeared, an alleged photo of the iPhone 15 Pro also surfaced. Although it is only about the bottom of the phone, what can be seen there corresponds exactly to the renders above. There is a USB-C connection, and no Lightning port.
In addition, there is something really new to see in the photo. Because we see a completely new material of the frame, which is neither aluminum nor stainless steel. It is probably titanium, the material that is also used for the case of the Apple Watch Ultra.
In terms of appearance, that material also gives a nice nod to the Apple past. It has a clear structure brushed metal, or brushed metal in Dutch. In earlier versions of Apple’s macOS operating system (Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger), all windows had this appearance. So the iPhone 15 Pro will be super modern and a bit retro at the same time.
