Real piece of Tyrannosaurus sold for home
Psst, buy Tyrannosaurus? You got this unique opportunity through an auction. A tooth of the dinosaur went under the hammer.
Dinosaurs were impressive beasts. To be able to experience them somewhat in this time, you can do two things. Put on a Jurassic Park movie, or go to the museum. Well, today we give you a third option. Namely, just take a look at the cupboard in your living room. Where is a piece of Tyrannosaurus!
Yes, you read that right. Auction house Sotheby’s had the unique opportunity to auction a piece of dinosaur. The buyer may display the asset at home or anywhere. That is quite special, because most archaeological finds related to Dinosaurs can be found in museums. In this case, a Tyrannosaurus tooth will be auctioned off.
The tooth is 18.5 centimeters long and stands on a stand. The auction took place in recent days and a buyer has now been found. Sotheby’s thought the tooth would fetch about $75,000. However, the highest bid came in at $100,000. The piece of tooth was found at the time in the American state of Wyoming during an excavation. And now it has found a buyer. I’m actually a little jealous.
