It has probably not escaped your notice: this week the new Samsung smartphones and tablets were announced. The Korean company finally revealed what was true of all the rumors surrounding the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy Tab S8. The telephones were especially popular, according to our poll.

When asked what you thought were the most interesting news that Samsung announced, we gave you four options: the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphones, the Galaxy Tab S8 tablets, Samsung’s new update policy or none of them. What seems? AW readers especially found the announcement of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphones interesting. No less than 40 percent opted for this. The tablets are the least popular with 12 percent.
In addition, there is increasing pressure on smartphone suppliers around the world when it comes to the update policy. After all, it is sometimes just guessing how long your smartphone (which costs hundreds of euros) will still be supported and therefore remains safe and fresh. The new update policy is the most interesting part of Galaxy Unpacked for 25 percent of readers. There are also many people who did not find the presentation interesting at all: 23 percent were not impressed†

Lasthuis clearly belongs to the group that opted for smartphones. Lasthuis: “The s22 seems like a nice handy device, but I have my doubts about the battery.” JustinV clearly missed an answer option, namely that of “I found EVERYTHING interesting”: “I ordered the tab ultra, S22 and the watch 4. With all cashback promotions only € 1600 paid. Now I also get the keyboard cover for € 350 and the earbuds pro. Everything separately would have cost me 2600 euros so I’m happy with it. Now just have to wait until the 25th.”
That’s a lot of money, JustinV, but then you can go on for many years. Bergje does not think the same about this: he would have preferred that there were more exciting announcements: “To be honest, I see few changes and the prices remain high. I am extremely satisfied with my S21 FE.” But yes, a Fan Edition in the house so Samsung is doing something right!
