With Raptoo, information comes to you. The principle is simple: scan the barcode of any product (food and non-food) to find out if batches of this product are subject to a recall. All you have to do is check if the batch matches.
When a product presents a danger to the consumer, it is subject to a recall procedure. All the lots concerned are then withdrawn from sale.
But how to inform consumers who bought this product before its recall?
Until now, distributors (supermarkets, etc.) are content to report it on their site and/or by displaying it on the shelves. It is therefore up to the consumer to carry out this check regularly throughout the life of the product.
Raptoo informs you of the recall of ALL food and non-food products: clothing, electrical appliances, toys, stuffed animals, automobiles, sporting goods, bicycles, etc.
Medicines are excluded.
The product is recalled as soon as a danger for the consumer is certain or by application of the precautionary principle.
However, the dangerous nature of a product can be discovered very long after the start or even the end of its marketing. Thus, it happens that products are recalled several months after their sale.

Causes of product recalls
They are multiple.
For food products, the recall may be motivated by the presence of prohibited toxic substances, pesticide thresholds higher than the regulations, presence of foreign bodies, lack of labelling, Listeria, Brucella, etc.
For non-food products, it may be an assembly defect or a structural weakness (bicycle, etc.), electrical problem, etc.
Products placed “under surveillance”
Even if the product you scanned is not recalled, it may be recalled 1 hour, 3 weeks or even months later.
