Railroad Ink Challenge – -apkrig

To put it bluntly, the Railroad Ink Challenge is a remake of a board game. If I didn’t tell you, you might not even think of it. The game is great and you will definitely not miss the fact that you do not draw the city map with a real marker and the dice do not roll on the table.

Railroad Ink belongs to the genre of “roll-and-write” games. This means that you roll the dice and you have to draw the symbols on the map. The map means an empty field on which a railway and road network will grow. While you normally start from one point and have to expand, here the principle is reversed. Around the map you will find 9 entrances, which you will try to connect and ideally close into one functioning system over the course of seven rounds.

Each round you have to draw all 4 results from the cubes. There you will find straight roads, bends, intersections, but also transfer stations. These are important because you are trying to connect the railway and the road into one. And the more trips you connect together, the more points you get. Points are also waiting for you for creating a long uninterrupted path and filling the boxes in the middle of the map.

In addition to the classic mode, you can also play Challenge, which adds tasks and buildings. You are trying to connect to the network, for which you will receive bonuses in the form of points, but also the possibility to draw more boxes. You usually want that, but you have to watch out for unfinished and unfinished roads. You will receive a point penalty for you at the end.

It is a system that is proven and works great. In addition, I must admit that although I have the game in physical form, I much prefer to play it on the phone. It’s just easier and I can enjoy the conundrum of building a transport network anywhere. In addition, the game has beautiful processing, pleasant sound and very nice animations. Can I say something? Although the title contains a tutorial, it does not start until you click on the “My Challenges” mode, which is strange. At the same time, I think that for the price of 129 CZK, the game could contain at least some small expansions with special dice. Unfortunately, you will not find them here.

But even so, it definitely deserves a recommendation, because it works absolutely brilliantly and is made for phones.
