The Rabo Wallet was launched in 2015, allowing Rabobank customers to use their mobile phone as a wallet. Now, seven years later, this app is coming to an end. You will then no longer be able to use the functions of this app. These are the alternatives for mobile payment and mobile parking in the Rabo Wallet.

1. Mobile payment with Google Pay

Rabobank has been offering Google Pay as an alternative to mobile payment since May 2022. With Google Pay you can pay for a digital debit card from your phone. You can activate Google Pay in the Rabo app and you can pay with your Android phone or smartwatch in no time. You no longer have to enter a PIN code or insert a debit card into a pin machine. 2. Parking in the Rabo app

Do you use the parking function in the Rabo Wallet? This is also already available in the bank’s mobile banking app. So you can pay for the parking session directly from this app. Carrying cash with you is no longer necessary. Rabobank uses Ease2pay for parking. You pay € 0.19 per parking session to this parking provider. On top of that, of course, there are the parking costs themselves.

This is how parking works with the Rabo app

  1. Find a parking space
  2. Open the Rabo app
  3. Open Parking in the Rabo Store
  4. Click on the map to find your parking space
  5. Select your parking location and start your parking session in the app when you have parked your car. You can set an end time for your parking session yourself. The app calculates the cheapest rate for the period you want to park.
  6. Stop the parking session in the Rabo app when you are ready to leave.
  7. If you the Parking starts, part of the spending space will be reserved on your account. You cannot use the reserved part for a while. The possibly too much reserved part will be released after you stop the parking session.

As soon as you start the parking session, it is registered in a central register. The parking inspector can see in this register whether payment has been made. So you don’t need a parking ticket or parking ticket. Is there a maximum parking time for your parking space or have you set a parking time yourself? Then you do not have to stop the parking session yourself. The parking session in the Rabo App stops automatically when the (maximum) parking time has passed. You will receive a message about this.
