‘Renderers iPad mini 2021 show new design’

The well-known tasty Jon Prosser has on his new website Front Page Tech renders shown of the iPad mini 2021. Renders usually give a good idea of the final product. Apple is taking the design of the tablet seriously, according to Prosser. The new mini appears to be a smaller version of the iPad Air 2020.

For example, we see thinner and angular screen edges that are the same size on all sides. The well-known Touch ID button has therefore disappeared. However, the iPad mini 2021 does have a fingerprint scanner. Just like with the iPad Air, it is in the power button at the top. Unlike the iPad Pro, the iPad mini does not get a Face ID. It does have a modern USB-C port, which replaces the Lightning port. For example, you can connect the tablet to an external screen or hard drive.

The iPad mini 2021 would be 206.3 by 137.8 millimeters in size. The thickness is 6.1 millimeters. Those are almost the same dimensions as the current iPad mini. It is therefore obvious that the screen will be slightly larger, but Prosser does not write anything about that. According to its sources, Apple does give the tablet stereo speakers, which must sound very good.

‘Smaller Apple Pencil for iPad mini 2021’

Another interesting rumor is that there will be a new Apple Pencil for the iPad mini 2021. Just like the Apple Pencil 2, you can click it on the side to charge it. The new stylus is smaller so that it does not protrude on the compact mini.

The iPad mini 2021 continues to run on the A14 chip that we also find in the iPhone 12 models and supports 5G. According to Prosser, the tablet will be available in black, silver and gold. He expects Apple to release the new mini at the end of this year.
