Google Pixel Tablet is out and available among others. Claudia has already reviewed the new tablet and she is positive. What about our readers: is there a lot of enthusiasm about the device and if so: what makes it such a wannahave? 23 percent mainly go for old-fashioned internet: mailing, shopping and reading the news.

Not interested

However, the majority of the respondents are not interested in it at all: 31 percent. KeesjeNL for example: “No interest at all. Normally, the prices for a Pixel are not too bad. This is not the case with the tablet. To pay 679 euros for an unexceptional tablet with a dock is total nonsense. If it was a dollar price, it would still be acceptable.” And so there are many readers who still find the high price a problem and are therefore not interested.

It is not always that people would not buy it because they are not interested: 18 percent, for example, say they have no money for the tablet. CubicNomad was not so much about budget, but about specifications: “As a fan of the pixel phones, I had this tablet on my purchase list for a long time. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out what I would expect from Google. That’s why we decided to throw some money on top and bought an s8 ultra from Samsung for 1000 euros in a temporary offer with subsequent delivery of a free keyboard / book case.”

Furthermore, there are very few people who mainly buy the device for video calling (1 percent), gaming (1 percent) and social media (0.5 percent). Streaming movies and series is somewhat more popular at 7 percent, and more striking is that 16 percent would mainly buy the device to control the smart home (something for which the dock is useful again). 1 percent buys the device, but does nothing with it: these are the collectors who will keep the device properly.

ralph_van_katwijk already has it: “Tablet has arrived. Very satisfied so far, only downside is that you can’t stream the sound to the dock. It is handy that you have a fixed charging spot and a control unit for your smart home during charging.”
