PS5 with Vodafone tariff available immediately: is the offer worth it?
Still desperate for a PlayStation 5? Then you’re in luck: a new tariff bundle with 40 GB has appeared in the Vodafone network. Included is not only the disc edition, but also the game Horizon Forbidden West and a second controller. We calculate whether the deal is worth it.

At the mobile phone dealer Smarttarif24 you can get the PS5 Disc Edition currently in a bundle with a 2. Controllers and the game Horizon Forbidden West to back up. For 49.99 euros per month plus a one-off additional payment of 69 euros, you will receive an Allnet and SMS flat rate as well as 40 GB 5G data volume with up to 500 MBit/s in the Vodafone network (view offer at Smarttarif24). You can get the connection fee of 39.99 euros back with just a few clicks.
By the way: If you are under the age of 28, you can secure a total of 60 GB of data instead of 40 GB. When ordering, select the “Vodafone Young Smart M” tariff out.

The PlayStation 5 disc edition is nowhere available for less than 645 euros, as the price comparison at Idealo shows. Horizon Forbidden West currently costs around 30 euros and a second controller 59 euros. If you subtract these sums from the total costs after 24 months, stay 534.76 euros left for the pure tariff. So you pay effectively 22.28 euros per month for a mobile phone tariff with 40 GB or 60 GB data volume. For comparison: For a mobile phone contract with similar conditions, you pay almost twice as much with Vodafone.
The calculation with the low price only works if you cancel at the end of the minimum contract period. If you should forget this, the contract will not be extended by another year, but can be canceled monthly.
