Project L from Riot Games is a fighting game with champions from LoLka -apkrig

Riot Games developers and their projects have been lively lately. Two titles under the Riot Forga label have been released – Ruined King and Hextech, others are being worked on and the main development branch directly in Riot will not be idle. Leaving aside the constant maintenance of League of Legends, there have been three mysterious projects on the table for a long time with simple code names – A, F and L. The first of them, a stylized competitive tactical shooter, is, of course, Valorant. The second mentioned project is still unannounced and players will look for various ways to move around the world of Runeterry with friends. And finally, Project L, which is a fighter from the University of Legends. The developers provided a vague promise and a brief overview of the game several years ago, but since then the project has been quiet, which is now changing thanks to a new video and blog post that reveals the basic ideas and very specific details of this 2D fighting game.

The video is performed by Tom Cannon, executive producer of Project L, along with his brother Tony, who is CTO for a change. They explain at the outset that the game is still too far away to sound even an approximate release date, so it is not appropriate to expect the game to arrive next year. On the other hand, this does not prevent developers from informing about the operation of the game or the abilities of some champions, who will naturally copy the line-up from the League of Legends. Project L will be a tag-team fighter in which you will always rely on two heroes. The goal is to have a game at the end that is attractive to the eye, fast in combat and offers players the opportunity to enjoy it using some elements. bend in the desired direction. The game should ideally work for many years, so you can already count on gradually adding content, as well as a sufficient offer of attacks and combos for exploration and gradual control.

In terms of control, Project L is said not to place such demands on players as other fighters demand. The game should be more accessible and adjust the difficulty so that it increases smoothly and everyone has enough to adapt. But at the same time, it shouldn’t mean that stupidity a game that players can worry about – on the contrary, Project L should offer plenty of experience even to experienced fighters or, in short, those who have invested enough hours in harmony with the chosen hero and have progressed smoothly to the master level. “This isn’t about developing a game where new players become pros, it’s about making entertainment available at all levels of gaming,” explains Tom Cannon.

Then the developers move on to designing individual characters that will be clearly recognizable to League of Legends fans at first glance. But the people from Riot Games had to come up with a number of new attacks and moves for them, so that everything corresponded to the fighter genre, so a lot of surprises and news await the League players as well. As an example, they borrowed Ekka for the video – he can correct his mistake by taking back a few seconds at a critical moment, or he can rely on his special Chrono Strike attack, which deals great damage to the enemy, or works well as ending an ongoing combo. It is Chrono Strike’s attacks that will create Ekek’s time shadows, which can be returned by turning the clock over, even during multiplayer. As can be seen in the video, thanks to the manipulation of time, one of the attacks can be doubled and the opponent can be really surprised.

At Riot Games, however, they are fully aware that if Project L is to succeed, it must have flawless multiplayer, so the company is currently investing in net code processing and building a sufficiently robust infrastructure that will serve all those interested in the game without downtime and any problems. On the other hand, taking into account Valorant, but especially League of Legends, Riot Games especially knows what it does and at least for the time being there are no doubts about the smoothness of the online game on the site. So we’ll see Project L move closer to its release, through more updates, blogs, and videos that developers have promised to publish more regularly than in previous years.
