How much does Spotify premium membership cost and what are the benefits? Actually, you can already use the “Spotify Free” model without paying – but there are some restrictions. You can read the price of “Spotify Premium” in its various versions and what the exact differences are here at GIGA.

There are basically two Spotify memberships: The free, ad-supported one Spotify Free Membership and the Premium Subscription. The premium membership is available with the same benefits but in four different price models: Individual, Duo. families and students.

The Spotify app and web player are of course completely free of charge – just like the actual account. For certain functions and unlimited music enjoyment, however, you have to take out the premium subscription.
If you can live with advertising and the limited options for music playback, you can of course also use “Spotify Free” for free. However, the streaming service is becoming more of a kind of online radio instead of a real on-demand service.
With premium access, you are completely free to decide which song is playing next and live out the inner DJ in you.

Details of the paid “Spotify Premium” subscription
The premium membership gives you completely free choice over the complete range of Spotify and interrupts your listening pleasure – with the exception of podcasts – not with advertising. In the free variant do you have a lower audio qualitycan only one skip limited number of tracks and have to live with the random playback.
That Family subscription allows you to share the premium subscription with up to 5 other family members, each of whom can use their own Spotify account. There is also this for couples Duo subscription, which is slightly cheaper and gives you the benefits of premium membership for two accounts. Spotify understands family members as people who have the same address, i.e. live in the same household. We explain here how you invite family members or roommates to the family subscription.
With the Spotify hourly discount, it should be noted that this maximum for 12 months (1 year) and accompanies it as proof of enrollment UNiDAYS must be registered.
