PlayStation 5 remains sold out for much of the year
This year it will not get any easier to buy a PlayStation 5, the console remains largely sold out.
Since the launch of the PlayStation 5, the console has become very difficult to obtain. Most stores and web shops have to sell no to customers. Only Sony knows when stock will be sent to stores again. For the time being, this is and will continue to be limited.
For example, it was already known that the PlayStation 5 would largely remain sold out in this first quarter. Unfortunately, we have to disappoint those who had hope for better times. CEO Jim Ryan again comes with bad news about the availability of the console. He told the Financial Times that the PlayStation 5 will hardly be available until at least July. That means that it is difficult to buy a PS5 for at least five more months.
Among other things, shortages of chips are one reason that Sony cannot produce the PlayStation 5 at full speed. There is a chance that the entire year will be dramatic and that the PlayStation 5 will largely remain sold out. The Xbox Series X faces the same problems, so buying the console from Microsoft as an alternative is also out of the question. There is nothing for it but be patient. Fortunately, the range of games is not too bad, to ease the pain a bit.
