PlayStation 5 DualSense controller can break quickly
The PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller has received a lot of compliments so far, but it can also break quickly.
Nothing is more annoying than getting started with your brand new PlayStation 5 and having a broken controller within a few weeks. And yes, all without angry FIFA games where you throw the controller around the living room. It is still unknown how big this issue is, but it is evident that the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller can break quickly in some cases.
On Reddit, among others, threads can be found from people who claim that the controller suffers from drift. That means that the controller gets its own will. At Nintendo they know all about this. The Dutch consumer association, among others, has filed a case against Nintendo for malfunctioning JoyCon controllers.
With the PS5 there is, among other things, a known case in which someone already suffered from a DualSense with a will of their own after 10 days. The undersigned has a PlayStation 5 and two DualSense controllers. After playing for hundreds of hours with both controllers, I haven’t experienced any problems yet.
It remains to be seen whether this is really a big problem and whether Sony will come up with a response. Check out the video below from a victim.
