One of the most popular Assassin’s Creed games celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. We are of course talking about Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. For quite a few users it is even the best part of the entire series. Reason enough to indulge in sweet nostalgia in a Reddit thread.

The Assassin saga around Altaïr, Ezio and many other freedom fighters has been part of the video game world since the second part at the latest. And while another spin-off, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, is set to appear this year, In 2023, a very special part will celebrate its 10th birthday.

Namely, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag was released in October 2013. The open world game put players in the role of Edward Kenway, a real pirate of the caribbean.

The unusual protagonist and the heavy focus on ships and exploring the seas pleasantly set Black Flag apart from the previous parts.

This was also recognized by the press at the time, which gave the game an impressive rating of 88 percent on Metacritic brought.
