Pixel Watch tells nonsense: Google Smartwatch annoys users
More and more owners of the new Pixel Watch are wondering about incorrect calculations on the Smartwatch. Supposedly they would burn far more calories than they actually do. The information on Google’s smartwatch is sometimes half that of the competition.
Pixel Watch incorrectly calculates calories
Fitbit’s fitness expertise should actually come into play with Google’s first own smartwatch. As it turns out shortly after the launch, Google still has to make significant improvements in this area. Users report that the Pixel Watch specified calorie consumption cannot be correct at all. The smartwatch displays incorrect values that are far too positive.
Also with other Smartwatches the calorie consumption is only estimated. The information is based on collected data such as the number of steps taken, heart rate and sometimes GPS information on the distance covered. Nevertheless, it turns out that the Pixel Watch reports successes in terms of calorie consumption that have nothing to do with reality.
In direct Comparison with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and the Samsung Health app, there are differences of more than 50 percent (source: Android Police). The discrepancy is also noticeable when both watches are worn at the same time. The values collected by the Galaxy Watch 4 are much more realistic.
That it’s too light Distinguish in the calculation can come depending on the manufacturer is certainly understandable. How many calories are actually burned depends on many factors, such as the age, gender, weight and height of the smartwatch wearer.
