Pixel Watch gets update: basically just bug fixes
The Pixel Watch has received an update. Reader Marcel tipped us that the Pixel Watch update of June 5 became available in the Netherlands in the night from Thursday to Friday. It is not a very exciting update: no new functions are added or changes are made, but it is still worth downloading the update as soon as possible.
June update for the Pixel Watch
The update comes with a lot of security improvements, making your Pixel Watch safer if you download the update quickly. Google’s updates often appear on the first Monday of the month, but because they don’t roll out to everyone at once, we often wait a few more days. This is also the case with this June update, which ensures that all kinds of bugs are eliminated.
The software update is called RWDC.230605.004 and if you want to check if you still need to get the update, you can go to Settings -> System -> System updates to check. Google says the rollout of this update will take a week and depends on your carrier and device, but it looks like the update is now out in the Netherlands.
In Google’s security bulletin you can read which problems it solves. It’s mostly things to do with buffering and admin privileges, but again, no exciting new stuff, just ironing out bugs in the current software.

Don’t have a Pixel Watch yet? We are moderately enthusiastic about it: “Sometimes it hits the mark and in certain areas the Pixel Watch scores less well. The strongest aspect of this watch is its convenient interface and navigation along with quality screen and personalizing dials. Google really impresses with that and it shows a lot of potential for future generations. What can be a ‘deal breaker’ for users is the small size, poor battery life and sports features that lack depth and cost extra money.”
