Android

now also available for non-Pixel phones

Google started rolling out Android 14 Beta 2 to Pixel phones right after the Google I/O 2023 keynotes. This second beta version of Android 14 indicates that we are close to the launch of the stable version of Android 14.

New in Android 14 Beta 2

A beta release gives developers and enthusiasts a chance to explore the latest features and improvements and provide feedback before the final version is released. Only there are not many new features in the second beta version of Android 14. This is actually understandable considering it’s only been a few weeks since the first beta version rolled out. In any case, Google reports improvements in the areas of camera and media and privacy and security. There are also a number of bug fixes in the update, which is also necessary given the many problems in the first version.
