Pixel 7 rear camera glass breaks for some users
Owners with a Pixel 7 have noticed a strange phenomenon: the glass protecting the rear camera of the smartphone can break for no apparent reason. The first reports were made a few months ago and new ones have recently appeared.
The new testimonials share a similar tone of users who simply take their Pixel 7 out of their pocket and the glass protecting the phone’s camera is damaged or even shattered. It is currently difficult to know how many people are affected by this problem. It is even more difficult to know what is the origin.
Although every situation is different, there are solutions to these types of problems and Google will address them. On Reddit, a few users were able to get a complete smartphone change. It remains to be seen whether everyone will be entitled to the same treatment.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell if this is a manufacturing defect or just bad luck for some users. Google has not yet reacted publicly to this phenomenon.
Not even a month, no drops just regular use. Have a case on the phone. Been told Its my problem. Is this really the quality control backed by google? It’s clearly a manufacturing defect, and I know I’m not the only one. Please fix this google! @madebygoogle #pixel7brokencamera pic.twitter.com/pH6k7HxSux

I would strongly avoid the Pixel 7 series from @madebygoogle. There is a manufacturing defect and poor QA that leads to shattered camera lenses. Google is aware of the issue and has intentionally decided not to include it with warranty #pixel7brokencamera https://t.co/kWhCoVlJeh pic.twitter.com/GvcYREScwA
