Pixel 6 charges really slower

When we tested the Google Pixel 6, it seemed to us that the phone was charging much slower than other phones with 30W charging and a similar battery capacity. Later, the AndroidAuthority website came up with a detailed test, which showed that the phone charges with a maximum power of 22 W. And now Google has admitted this fact.

Google Pixel 6 does not charge 30 watts

According to the official blog, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are not able to charge with a power of 30 W, although the fast charger itself has such a power. But you have to buy this separately, in our review you could find out, among other things, that Google does not supply any adapter in the package. The company has therefore confirmed that Google Pixel 6 is capable of charging 21W speed, for variant then 23W. However, the same is true only up to 50%, then the performance starts to gradually decrease to somewhere 2,5 W.

It’s nice that Google is concerned about the batteries in its phone, but it would be good if it left that choice to the user, who could choose between optimized and classic charging.
