Phone number 0302536750 wants to rip you off – again

We warned about the scam the other day, but it still seems to be worth it. If the Berlin telephone number 0302536750 calls you, don’t even pick it up. It is best if you block them right away. GIGA explains what’s behind it.

The crooks behind the number 0302536750 are trying the same game as with the number 03032245899: They no longer even bother to invest in a call center, but let a dial-up computer and a tape announcement do the job.

What’s behind the number 0302536750?

• As usual in such cases, the Fake number 0302536750. The technology is called “Call ID spoofing”: A manipulated telephone system transmits the fake number, while the perpetrators are often not even in Germany. For this reason, there is no point in complaining to the Federal Network Agency about the calls.
• The call is made through a Dial-up computerwho has no data from you and only rummages through randomly generated phone numbers.
• The destination of the call is a Data theft. In this type of call, the criminals try to trick you into giving them personal information, including your bank account number, by lying.
• First you are told you have had one Participated in the competition and won. Then you should press 1 to enter your data. This will activate the recording. The data may then be used for further fraudulent calls.

You shouldn’t take this call seriously for a second and hang up immediately. On the other hand, since nobody notices how you reacted, they will probably keep calling you. So you should block the number.
