Payments via Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6 are already available in Slovakia

Xiaomi, together with Mastercard, announce the availability of payments in our country, Slovakia. You will be able to make payments through a special version of the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 fitness bracelet with NFC, which is already available at some retailers today.

Currently only mBank is supported, Prima Banka will be added soon. ČSOB banka is also supported by our Czech brothers, so we believe that they will join as well. Something tells us that 365 banka (former Poštová banka), which was the first to present itself with watch payments (Fitbit Pay, Garmin Pay), will certainly also be added (plus its cards are also Mastercard).

The bracelet payment itself is very simple. After entering the details from the Mastercard into the Xiaomi Wear application, the corresponding token is stored in the device. The rest of the procedure is the same as for payment by mobile phone or watch.

If you can’t wait, there is one trick to help you overtake official bank support. That feint is called the Curve card. The curve card wants to be the card of all cards, so it replaces several cards with one card. The mentioned card is already supported in Mi Band and can be used to pay in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Payments with the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 bracelet are officially available with us from today, 22.11. However, some stores are still waiting to sell it.
