Paradox is happy with the new developers of Bloodlines 2 -apkrig

Unfortunately, the game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 by Paradox has been dealing lately, especially in connection with its problematic development. The last time we wrote in October was that the publisher, after shutting down Hardsuit Labs, was seriously considering canceling the project altogether. Paradox Interactive boss Fredrik Wester revealed this. But even then, he did not say who is working on the title now. Wester just said that he is a very reputable and talented developer who has created a number of different games in the past. He also assured that the new team does not start from scratch and takes advantage of the work of Hardsuit Labs.

CFO Alexander Bricca explained that they preferred the studio to be able to focus fully on the development of the game and not yet deal with fan reactions.

As anxious as the authors, Wester also concealed the possible release date. But when he was last confronted that he did not speculate until 2023, he replied that it could be said that they still had some time ahead. Now we have a few more hints. According to the latest reports, the publisher is satisfied with the progress made by the game under the leadership of new developers, who are still hiding Paradox. CFO Alexander Bricca explained that they preferred the studio to be able to focus fully on the development of the game and not yet deal with fan reactions. That’s why they keep the team’s name secret and want to leave it for a while.

Otherwise, the new authors are doing well and Paradox is satisfied with them. Even so, the whole process will not be possible without further delays. Now the publisher says it will take some time before they can start talking about the release date. This naturally indicates that there is still a lot of work and a long way to go before the authors than that Paradox would like to surprise us, for example, in the middle of next year. Personally, I don’t expect the game to come out until 2023.

Did the project move only within Seattle?

Who actually works on the game now, of course, irritates the fans’ imagination. Different names come into play, and PC Gamer magazine is speculating that it could be the Harebrained Schemes team. Paradox bought it in June 2018 and is based in Seattle as well as Hardsuit Labs. The American team has experience with licensed brands such as BattleTech or Shadowrun, and Kevin Maloney, who previously left Harebrained Schemes to work on Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, has returned.

Paradox announced the shutdown of Hardsuit Labs from the project in February this year. At the same time, it has had a third share in the studio since 2018. Seattle-based Hardsuit Labs was founded in 2015. Its authors have previously participated in many other successful games. The team created the game Blacklight: Retribution. In addition to the delays, Bloodlines 2 was also affected by the departure of screenwriter Chris Avellon. He had to leave after allegations of sexual harassment, and Paradox said his work would be removed from the game.
