‘Our lawn had turned into an undulating waterbed’

You have children who behave so well with the babysitter that they go to bed on their own and don’t make a sound. And you have children like Wendy’s (41).
Wendy (41) is married and mother of Kai (9) and Faye (5).
“It was a beautiful summer day and my husband and I were having a wedding, so we asked our 16-year-old girl next door to babysit. It was the first time she came to babysit during the day, but we were sure Isa could handle that; After all, Kai and Faye adore her. The day before we had set up the pool in the garden and with the confidence that they would have a nice day we left.

Not an ounce of regret
Until Isa called a few hours later. Kai had pulled the plug out of the pool and our synthetic turf field had turned into an undulating waterbed. Isa was completely panicked.
“He even looked triumphant”
My husband raced home quickly and saved the day and gave Kai a good kick. His only comment on his action: ‘I wanted to scare Isa and I succeeded.’ He even looked triumphant.”
