Oppo shows special smartphone with extendable camera on the back
Oppo has launched a new teaser. Here we see a smartphone with a retractable camera, which is located on the back of the device. All this should contribute to better image quality and greater light output.

No, it’s not a smartphone with a pop-up camera; the slide-out camera that Oppo is now talking about is part of the camera module. The manufacturer has developed the retractable camera itself and is later widely publicized. Now the manufacturer is already revealing a few things in the teaser that the company shares. It is an alternative to a periscope lens, which has a smaller sensor than this type of lens.
The camera in question is a 50mm lens with an aperture of f/2.4 and a sensor size of 1/1.56″. The sensor is combined with a telephoto lens, which can therefore offer a large sensor. In the teaser we also see that the camera is wet, which suggests that it must be able to withstand bad weather. At the moment it is not clear whether Oppo actually plans to release a smartphone with this technology and what exactly are the advantages of this lens.
