Oppo keeps up with Xiaomi, developing long-distance wireless charging

Xiaomi introduced technology at the end of last month Mi Air Charge, as stated by the “revolutionary” charging, which will supply phones with energy at a distance of several meters. What’s more, furniture and other obstacles should not be a problem. Literally a few hours after Xiaomi, Motorola came with its wireless charging, and just a few weeks later, the Chinese Oppo arrives. Oppo introduced Air Charging, proprietary technology that should mediate remote charging.

The Chinese company claims that their Air Charging will be supported 7.5 W charging, compared to 5 W in Xiaomi. But what remains a mystery. the distance between the phone and the charger and its pad is possible. Oppo has demonstrated wireless charging over long distances on 30s of video. The Oppo X 2021 phone was being prepared in the video, which was as far away from the pad as possible at arm’s length.

The company has not yet shared any details about the new wireless charging technology, but we will probably learn more in the coming days and weeks. Oppo introduced Air Charging a few days ago, Xiaomi a few weeks ago, as well as Motorola, so the fight for first place on the market could be expected.
