OnlyFans changes their mind and gets everyone naked!
OnlyFans has always been a disguised landmark for the stars of the adult industry who quickly found there a perfect playground to make money by selling content that lacked textile material. For a few euros per month (often 10), you subscribe to an account and you have access to exclusive videos or photos you won’t find anywhere else.

A great godsend for the admirers of these X figures who have been able to kindly make a fortune with this kind of business plan. Except that, under the pressure of the financiers who allow the site to live, just like that of the banking organizations, like Visa Where MasterCard, which offer the payment solutions available on the site, OnlyFans announced last week that, the porn on its pages, it was over ! It was necessary to change the image of the site, a little too associated with the world of adult entertainment. With the company aiming to soon pass the billion dollar mark for its valuation, it was obvious that alienating financiers was a bad idea in order to achieve this goal. Interviewed by our colleagues from Financial Times, Timothy Stokely, the creator and CEO of OnlyFans, had justified the decision as follows:
We pay over a million creators over $ 300 million every month, and to make sure that those funds get to the creators, you have to use the banking industry.
A few days later, it seems that the mouths have changed soul!
More choice in the date
The announcement of the end of porn on OnlyFans had yet sounded like a cannonball and many stars of the industry had simply made the decision to find another site to warmly settle there. This is how listings on competing sites like Mym, Swame and Fansly for example, have multiplied over the last few days. Today, a turnaround, those responsible for OnlyFans Announce to reconsider their decision and reopen their arms to their first porn friends, the same people who made their fortune. The update to a “clean” site will therefore not take place on 1er October. The good news has been announced on the official account Twitter official in these words:
Thank you all for making your voice heard. We have secured the assurances needed to support our diverse designer community and have put the policy change on hold on October 1. OnlyFans champions inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators.
Thank you to everyone for making your voices heard.
We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change.
OnlyFans stands for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators.

Will this bring back creators who had already decided to look elsewhere? Not sure. The confidence they had in OnlyFans has been scoffed at somewhat and they’ll likely be afraid that the company will play weathervanes and change opinions at some point.
When announcing the ban on pornography on the site, some sex workers without Plan B faced the prospect of having no income in the 1er October. They are likely to rejoice at the idea that their jobs are ultimately somewhat secure.
Meanwhile, on the web, the creators of memes give it to their heart’s content, and in total freedom.
