OnePlus rolls out latest Android update to 8, 8 Pro and 8T: Android 13 available

OnePlus has updated a series of devices to Android 13. It is now the turn of the OnePlus 8, the 8 Pro and the 8T. It is also the last Android update to be rolled out for the three devices.

Android 13 for OnePlus 8 Series

OnePlus has previously proudly shared the news that the OnePlus 10 Pro and the OnePlus 9 series have received the update to Android 13; now it’s the turn of the OnePlus 8 series. Important sidenote; only a small part of the aforementioned series have just received the update. The rollout seems to be taking a very long time and we still don’t have it on the devices at the editorial office.

The OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and the OnePlus 8T can expect the update from now on. It is the last Android update that will be rolled out for smartphones. Security updates are still ongoing. Along with Android 13, OxygenOS 13 will also be rolled out; an update that includes several improvements. For example, the Aquamorphic design ensures smoother animations, better performance and you get more options for the Always On Display, for example.

Thanks to Android 13, you can go in more directions with the Material You color palette. There are also more options in the field of security and privacy and you can now set the language in which you want to open a specific app. As far as we know, the update has not yet arrived on European models.
