OnePlus releases OnePlus 10 Pro in the Netherlands from 899 euros

OnePlus has officially announced its new top device, the OnePlus 10 Pro, in the Netherlands. The smartphone comes with an improved LTPO screen, a more powerful fast charger and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor for a suggested retail price from 899 euros.

OnePlus 10 Pro

The OnePlus 10 Pro is the new flagship that will visit the European mainland. The device was already announced for China earlier this year, which was special in the history of OnePlus. You can read why this is special in our interview with OnePlus.

OnePlus’ most powerful phone has a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, which is a second-generation LTPO screen. That is, the screen more flexibly adjusts the refresh rate. When needed, you get to see smooth animations in 120Hz and at other times the phone saves battery. The screen is protected by the strong Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which can also be found on the glass back. There is room on the phone for dual speakers and the fingerprint scanner is located under the screen. There is no IP68 certificate, but technically the device is of an IP68 level, without the official certification, as you can read in our review of the OnePlus 10 Pro.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 80W fast charger

All power of the OnePlus 10 Pro comes from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. That is the latest high-end processor from Qualcomm. Two storage variants have also been announced: 8 GB / 128 GB and 12 GB / 256 GB. † The OnePlus 10 Pro runs on ColorOS 12 in China, which is based on Android 12. The phone runs on OxygenOS 12.1, which is also based on Android 12.

The sturdier 5,000 mAh battery will this time come with an 80W fast charger that charges a quarter faster than its predecessor. The company also announced that it has improved cooling technology this year and now uses a system that is just over half the size of an A4 paper. For gamers, OnePlus is also launching a feature called Hyperboost that allows users to “overclock” the processor for more powerful performance.

Cameras

The OnePlus 10 Pro is equipped with a new wide-angle lens with a 150-degree field of view, which can capture photos that are four times wider than the photos taken with 120-degree wide-angle lenses on other smartphones. There’s also a 48MP main camera armed with laser autofocus and optical image stabilization and an 8MP telephoto camera offering 3.3x optical zoom. The selfie camera is a 32 MP one.

The Hasselblad Pro Mode on the OnePlus 10 Pro supports shooting in 12-bit RAW on all three rear cameras, complete with Hasselblad Natural Color Solution for Mobile. In addition, this mode supports a new powerful RAW mode called RAW+, which allows you to capture images in 12-bit RAW. The OnePlus 10 Pro is equipped with the Movie mode, with which you can easily adjust parameters such as ISO, shutter speed and white balance before and during filming. In addition, this mode allows you to record in a LOG format without a preset image profile.

HyperBoost Gaming Engine

The OnePlus 10 Pro includes the HyperBoost Gaming Engine. This engine supports a range of new gaming features designed to deliver a more stable and responsive gaming experience. These include General Performance Adapter (GPA) Frame Stabilizer and O-Sync. GPA Frame Stabilizer aims to reduce framerate swings while gaming on the OnePlus 10 Pro and ensures that when drops in framerates occur, they happen gradually rather than quickly and violently. O-Sync increases the synchronization speed between the processor and the display of the OnePlus 10 Pro up to six times during gaming. This reduces the touch response time by up to 30 milliseconds, meaning the device responds faster to touches.

OxygenOS 12 and updates

The OnePlus 10 Pro comes with OxygenOS 12.1 which is based on Android 12. It is an easy-to-use software shell with new functions centered around work, rest and play. Like all other flagship devices from OnePlus, the OnePlus 10 Pro will receive three major Android updates and four years of security updates.

Buy OnePlus 10 Pro

The OnePlus 10 Pro with 8 GB RAM costs 899 euros and the variant with 12 GB RAM is for sale for 999 euros. The phone is available in Emerald Forest and Volcanic Black colors and will be available to order from April 5. The OnePlus 10 Pro will be in stores from April 11.
