OnePlus smartphones have had one on the side since 2015 special slider. This can be used to quickly switch between several sound profiles. OnePlus cell phone owners appreciate the feature. It is all the more disappointing that the alert slider on OnePlus has recently gone out of fashion. It is missing on the new OnePlus 10T and on some of the manufacturer’s cheap cell phones.

OnePlus: Alert slider on future phones

As the manufacturer has confirmed, the Alert slider on future smartphones to be part of the party again. This emerges from a media briefing attended by company executives (source: Android Authority). Nevertheless, it can be assumed that the slider will not be found on the cheapest cell phones from OnePlus in the future either.

OnePlus previously explained why the OnePlus 10T does not have an alert slider. According to the manufacturer, the slider would look small from the outside, but inside the phone take up quite a bit of space. According to OnePlus, this can be better used for antennas. Manufacturers had already argued in a similar way when the classic headphone connection was discontinued.

The OnePlus 10T will from August 11, 2022 also be available in Germany. However, the manufacturer has until August 25 to deliver the product. The prices are between 699 and 799 euros.

For this sum there is a 5G phone with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 as a processor. The battery has a capacity of 4,800 mAh and can be charged with 150 watts. The OnePlus 10T should only need 19 minutes for a full charge.
