OnePlus attacks with folding cell phones

OnePlus is apparently planning two foldable phones. In China, the names OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip have been registered for this. The Chinese brand is said to have advanced in development, which is why an official presentation could be imminent.

OnePlus: Two foldable smartphones in planning

The OnePlus brand, which belongs to Oppo, could present two foldable smartphones in the near future (source: Mukul Sharma on Twitter). The secured brand names OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip strongly indicate that these are two models that are reminiscent of Samsung’s foldable cell phones in terms of shape.

What OnePlus is planning in detail has not yet been made public. However, it has been known for some time that the brand is working on foldable cell phones. There were also repeated rumors that a first model could come onto the market in 2023.

It can be assumed that OnePlus will follow the foldable smartphones from Oppo will. With the Oppo Find N2 and Oppo Find N2 Flip, two models were announced at the end of last year that will be launched in the next few weeks. It remains to be seen whether a release in Europe is also planned.

OnePlus has invited to an event for February 7th, where maybe a first look at the folding phones can be thrown. It is certain that the OnePlus Pad tablet, the OnePlus 11 mobile phone and the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 headphones will be presented on this day.

OnePlus: Sales ban stands in the way of folding cell phones

Even if OnePlus decides to offer its foldable smartphones in Germany, the existing sales ban will stand in the way. Both OnePlus and Oppo are currently not allowed to offer their cell phones in Germany due to a patent dispute with Nokia.
