OnePlus 9 has been in the beta test of Oxygen OS 12 on Android 12 for some time, but now it is also the turn of older devices. If you have a OnePlus 8 (Pro) or OnePlus 8T, you can now register for one of the coveted 400 spots that OnePlus is freeing up for this beta test.

This beta is therefore slightly different from that of the OnePlus 9, because you did not have to register for that. This time you have to fill in a form what your OnePlus Forum profile is, how much time you spend on the forum, your age, your gender, the country you live in, your email address, your profession.
Of course you also have to indicate which device you have, but also, for example, how many photos you take with it on average, whether you use a third-party app as a camera app and how often you use navigation, switch on gamet and Bluetooth on your device (and with which devices you have made contact).

Finally, there will be questions specifically about beta testing, so that OnePlus has a better idea of what it can expect from you in terms of time and commitment. It therefore wants to know to what extent you like to express your opinion and why it should choose you for the beta. They just don’t ask how your friends would describe you or what you do in stressful situations, but otherwise the registration feels like a job interview.
On the other hand, there are so few places and so many people want to get started with the new Android 12, that it is good that only the most suitable people are sought. After all, it is still a test and OnePlus needs a lot of good information to make its Oxygen OS work even better with the new version of the Android operating system.
