“OnePlus 12 has a huge battery, but no periscope camera”

New specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 12 have been leaked. If we are to believe the information, the new flagship will have a battery of no less than 5400 mAh. What else do we know?

Not a periscope camera though

Earlier we already came up with news about the OnePlus 12. Then the first rumors about the device surfaced. However, the website Smartprix is now taking this a step further and comes with various details and specifications of the OnePlus 12. They have done this in collaboration with the well-known rumor spreader OnLeaks.

According to their information, as we wrote earlier, the smartphone will indeed have three cameras. It is a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP wide-angle lens and a 64 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. So they don’t talk about a periscope camera, something the first rumors indicated. With a periscope camera you can zoom further optically than with a telephoto lens, so it would be a shame if the OnePlus 12 does not get it.

Gigantic battery

What the phone would get again is an immense 5400 mAh battery. Just for comparison: most high-end smartphones now have a battery of up to 5000 mAh. The battery of the OnePlus 12 could also be charged with a power of 100W wired and 50W wirelessly. The charger will probably be included again.

This large battery should ensure that the 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED panel easily lasts two days. However, the processor also plays a major role in this. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip will probably be used in the OnePlus 12. This will be Qualcomm’s newest and fastest processor and probably the fastest processor you can find in an Android smartphone next year. 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage must support the processor. It is not yet known how economical this chipset will be exactly.

Availability

We expect OnePlus to announce its new flagship in December. We do not know if and if so when the telephone will come to the Netherlands and Belgium. According to a reliable source, OnePlus and OPPO may soon leave our countries.
