OnePlus: “Exciting information” at the January event

OnePlus has invited to an event, what’s about to happen surprised in several ways. It should actually be held physically on site, including a cocktail party afterwards. Las Vegas was chosen as the location. Interested parties are invited on January 5, 2022 from 6:30 p.m. local time. What exactly OnePlus plans to do is not yet clear.

The brief announcement simply states that the manufacturer “Some exciting information” want to share. It has not been revealed whether these are the upcoming OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro smartphones. It is possible that “only” new audio products will be shown or the future of OxygenOS will be explained.

Regarding the OnePlus 10 (Pro), the rumor mill has so far said that the January or February 2022 initially to come onto the market in China. It could present itself there as direct competition to the Galaxy S22 series, which will probably be shown in February 2022. The OnePlus 10 (Pro) will not be released in Germany and other European countries until March, just like with its predecessor, the OnePlus 9 (Pro).

The OnePlus 10 Pro is also highly anticipated because it will be one of the first smartphones with the new flagship processor from Qualcomm. The recently presented Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 could be supported by a 5,000 mAh battery in the OnePlus mobile phone, which can be rapidly charged with 125 watts.
