‘OnePlus 10 base model leaked with huge camera sensor’

A photo of a suspected OnePlus 10 has been leaked. OnePlus already proposed the Pro version in January, but now we may already get to see the base model. What is striking is the enormously large main camera that protrudes a bit from the housing.

Usually at Androidworld we are used to first seeing renders of an upcoming phone and only later when the launch is approaching, in some cases a photo will also appear where the smartphone has been spotted in public. The base OnePlus 10 model skipped that first step and we’re shown a photo courtesy of a LetsGoDigital source.

If we analyze the photo, it is immediately apparent that the similarities with the OnePlus 10 Pro – which has already been launched – are limited. The base model looks more like a mix between features of the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 10 Pro. The shape of the camera island is very reminiscent of the old OnePlus 9, as it is a rectangular camera island on the left that does not continue seamlessly into the frame of the phone. On the other hand, it does have a black color, just like with the OnePlus 10 Pro. With the OnePlus 9, the camera island had the same color as the entire back.

Expected specifications

What you can’t ignore in the photos of the OnePlus 10 is the huge main camera of the device. In addition, it seems that the smartphone still has several small lenses, but specifications are unfortunately missing in this leaked photo. Previous leaks of the OnePlus 10 have revealed that the smartphone will serve more than ever as a cost-effective alternative to the Pro version that comes with lighter specs. There would be no Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in the housing, but a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset.

For now, it remains to wait for more information about this phone. Only as soon as we see images from multiple sources, we can say with more confidence that this will really be the design of the OnePlus 10.
