One Punch Man: a live-action adaptation would be in production at Sony

The usually very knowledgeable Deadline site tells us that sony would produce a live-action adaptation of the cult anime/manga One-Punch Man ! The production of the film would be entrusted to Justin Lin, which promises spectacular action scenes. We indeed owe Justin Lin the Fast & Furious 4,5,6 and 9, films widely known for their action scenes that are totally out of the ordinary and unrealistic (which will certainly be an asset for an adaptation of One Punch Man) . Screenwriters Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner would write the script.

As a reminder, One Punch Man is the nickname of Saitama, a superhero who can defeat any enemy, even the most powerful the Earth has ever faced, with a single punch. Tired of not finding opponents to his height, Saitama joins the Association of heroes in order to unearth the rare pearl who will prove to be at least a little tough. The actual production of the One Punch Man film would start at the end of the year.
