For example, the cache shortens the waiting time for website access. Because the data is already stored in the buffer memory, images and files do not have to be downloaded again every time.

Clear WhatsApp cache: why is it important?

However, since the cache only has a limited capacity, it is important to empty it regularly. Because the amount of data stored can lead to errors in certain applications.

Even if the WhatsApp cache is full, there may be glitches, for example. Crashes and space problems are the result. It is very easy to empty the buffer storage.

Clear WhatsApp storage on iPhone

If you want to clear an app’s cache on iPhone, you need to “offload” it. As a result, the settings, documents and files of an application are retained, but the cache is deleted.

To clear the WhatsApp cache, go to the “Ideas‘ and then on the tab ‘Generally“. Now you navigate further to “iPhone storage“. Depending on how full it is, you may have to wait a few moments before you see the list of your applications. There you can also see how much memory each of your apps is taking up.

Next you select “Whatsapp” out of. Then you go to “Outsource app“. To confirm, you must then click “Outsource app” type. The app has now been deleted, but your data has been retained.

In the next step, tap on “Install app again” to restore WhatsApp. You should now be able to use the application as usual, but your cache should be empty.

Clear WhatsApp cache on Android

If you’re using an Android device, the process is simpler. To clear your WhatsApp cache, first go to the “Ideas‘ of your cell phone. Then click in the menu on “app“.
