Official list of devices that will receive an update soon
A few weeks ago, the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi started updating its smartphones to the MIUI 13 superstructure. MIUI 13 will certainly only get a few models
The lists published so far have been created on the basis of updated models with the Chinese version of MIUI. However, Xiaomi has officially confirmed the availability of the update on the global and European markets only for the following devices:
- Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i, Mi 11X, Mi 11X Pro, Mi 11 Lite 5G, Mi 11 Lite 4G, Xiaomi 11 Lite NE
- Xiaomi 11T, Xiaomi 11T Pro
- Redmi 10, Redmi 10 Prime, Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, Redmi Note 10 JE
- Redmi Note 8 (2021)
- Xiaomi Pad 5
The MIUI 13 is expected to receive the above models during the quarter, from January to mid-March. In addition, the manufacturer has begun testing the update for POCO F3 internally, so even the most likely to receive a new version of the system soon.
Xiaomi is expected to confirm the arrival of the Redmi Note 9, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10T models later.
How the competition updates
Samsung continues this year in the trend of rapidly updating flagship and cheaper models. Android 12 has so far received these models from its portfolio. Owners of Nokia G50, Sony Xperia 1 III and 5 III or Asus ZenFone 8 and 8 Flip smartphones can also enjoy the latest version of the operating system.
