George: This is what advanced mobile banking should look like

But having an application is not enough. Its functions and user friendliness are very important. In this respect, George is among the absolute leaders. Although the application is packed with features, it is also clear and easy to use. It boasts excellent ratings in mobile app stores and is constantly improving.

What makes George app unique?

Of course, all banking applications offer the ability to send money, view account information, payment history and similar basic functions. George is much further. It is a banking application that is a brand in itself. It goes without saying that the client can manage all his products in it, or he can set up new ones.

George is actually a kind of “autopilot” that takes you through the world of finance. It makes it easier for people to manage their money and at the same time thinks about their future thanks to financial planning.

One of the most interesting features is the option account opening completely online. There is no need to go anywhere because of this, the client can do everything from the comfort of home only with a smartphone in hand. The whole process takes only 9 minutes. The procedure is very simple.

Just from the Google Play Store, App Store or Huawei AppGallery Download the George app and enter your contact information. To identify the person interested in the account, he takes a photo ID card and takes a “liveliness” test – by watching the green ball on the display and checking the data that George pre-filled.

Opening an account is a completely digital process without any paperwork, signing a contract with a courier and the like. An existing bank client, as well as a new client, can open an account online.

Modification of the application environment also as a security element

The client can customize the George application. You can choose your own colors, images or names. However, this feature is also important for security, especially with the desktop version. If attackers tried to create a fake George page to lure sensitive information from a user, he would immediately find that his chosen colors or background did not fit him and would not trust this spurious page.

Immediate interbank transfers are a welcome and expected novelty. They will be officially launched on February 1, 2022 and Slovenská sporiteľňa will offer them from the absolute beginning. They will bring benefits not only to people but also to companies. Payment of invoices will be faster, this will bring more efficient financial management and streamline e-commerce processes.

The client can meet this service at branches or the bank’s website and now also in the George application. The goal financial plan it is that the client is well financially secured. A good financial plan covers 4 areas:

“We will prepare a financial solution for those interested, which is appropriate to their age, monthly available resources and savings rate. The financial plan will also suggest how they can manage even better the money that is inactive in their current or savings accounts every month, or they will be lost in current consumption, ”explains Marta Cesnaková, a spokeswoman for Slovenská sporiteľňa.

Easier payment via Payme

Payme is a service that allows you to settle for a joint lunch or collect a gift for a friend very conveniently .. It works easily. Just open the application, fill in the amount and then send a payment request to your friends via e-mail, chat, messenger or SMS. They then just click on the generated link, their bank application opens and they can confirm the payment.

What news is coming?

Through the George application, it is possible to obtain an asset account or set up regular savings in funds. The possibility of trading shares, displaying the PIN code for the payment card and communication with the bank via Messenger directly in the app will be added soon.
