Nvidia Shield is coming to Android TV 10. Is that sad news?

Nvidia has officially announced that it will not upgrade its Shield multimedia streaming device to Android TV 10. Owners of this handy device will have to settle for the ninth version. The company defends this decision by the fact that there have been no major changes between these versions, the update would not be very important for the user and it is therefore unnecessary to devote time to it.

“Shield support is still in full swing and we had one big update recently. However, the differences between the mentioned versions are insignificant for the user. So we decided to skip Android 10, ”Describes the official Shield @ NVIDIA account on the support site.

In this month-old post, Nvidia assures that Shield users can definitely count on more updates. This practically means that the version of the Android TV system should jump to twelve in the coming months. Such an update would already be for richer news much richer. For example, mention the home screen in higher resolution, the possibility of tuning the aspect ratio or blocking the camera or microphone.
