NS Go lets employees plan their journey from door to door

Employers have recently been able to take out NS Go for their employees. This is a new service that allows employees to easily plan their door-to-door journey themselves, using means of transport determined in advance by the employer. This should result in more transport choice for the employee and more control for the employer.

With NS Go, the NS wants to ensure that more travelers use the train again after corona. The service must therefore better match the new travel behaviour. With NS Go, employers can therefore decide for themselves when employees can use which means of transport, for example depending on the location and purpose of the journey. For example, as an employer, you can set up in bad weather that employees have the option to order a taxi. Employees can then plan, book and claim all journeys by bicycle, train and/or car via the NS app.

According to research by the Dutch Railways, there is a demand for this service from employers. Ivo Steffens, Director of Commerce at NS, explains: “As an employer you also have more control over the travel costs, but we know that they also want to make other considerations. At this time, employers want to encourage their staff, for example, to leave the car at home more often in the context of sustainability, but also when it comes to vitality. Someone who uses public transport is more active. This is possible with NS Go and we like to think along with employers on how they can best structure their travel policy in line with the new travel behaviour.”
