After all, a new model of the MacBook Air is now getting closer to a potential release date. We’re talking about the ominous 15-inch model of the MacBook Air 2023. We’ll tell you which date you should make a note of.
At the end of last year, a new variant of the current one emerged MacBook Air away. Apple is experimenting with a larger model. Instead of a 13-inch display, this one has a 15 inch panel feature.
MacBook Air 2023 with 15-inch display: possible premiere on June 5th
This same screen is said to have been in production since February, in March the quotas were increased and another one increase in production is now planned for April, according to industry insider Ross Young. He doesn’t know the exact release plan, but thinks an introduction is possible for the end of “April/beginning of May” (source: MacRumors).
The colleagues at MacRumors consider this schedule to be a bit premature, as it is likely to be at the current time no spring event give from Apple. A presentation of such a major innovation in the literal sense without an event is unlikely.
What remains is the keynote for the WWDC on June 5th. The Opening event for Apple’s developer conference is already confirmed and would be ideal for the presentation. A sale shortly thereafter in the course of June would be likely.
We also share this assumption and came to a comparable conclusion at the beginning of March.
Will probably come soon with a 15-inch display:
M2 or M3?
Ultimately, we should have a larger MacBook Air anyway in the first half of the year see. The design should correspond to the current 13-inch model – notch included in the screen.
So far, however, the built-in chip remains questionable. There is no clear information in the rumor mill regarding this. At least the current M2 chip will be found in the new model. With a bit of luck, however, Apple will take the opportunity to present the upcoming M3 chip and integrate it into the new Air. We will most likely find out what is true in the end at the beginning of June.
