Nový Assassin’s Creed Infinity nebude free-to-play » Vortex
As part of the solution of financial results, Ubisoft revealed several interesting news from the world of the Assassin’s Creed saga. The publisher stressed that the recently revealed Assassin’s Creed Infinity will not be free-to-play like some other currently announced titles. Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot said the game will have a lot of story elements.
Infinity is still in its infancy
According to him, it will be a very innovative title, but it will have what Assassin fans expect and love from this brand. It will be a huge game with a lot of things that already exist in the titles we have released before, Guillemot suggested. CFO Frédérick Duguet noted that Infinity is still at the beginning of the development cycle. Probably we’ll wait for another big Assassin for a while. Ubisoft Quebec and Ubisoft Montreal are collaborating on it. Undoubtedly, many others will be involved, as always.
It has been talked before that it could be a game with a greater emphasis on the online world, which will combine several different historical periods and will gradually evolve. After all, it wouldn’t be completely surprising. Ubisoft is inevitably moving towards something like this. As early as July, Duguet called Infinity an exciting, ambitious project that will remain true to Assassin’s legacy and storyline.
Valhalla breaks records
Speaking of this saga, Ubisoft boasted that Valhalla has become the second most lucrative game in Ubisoft’s history. Already last November, the publisher mentioned that in the first week Valhalla sold more copies than any previous episode in the same period. Since then, it has overcome the Odyssey, and after all, the authors have committed themselves to supporting the game for the first time in the following year.
The expansion of The Siege of Paris released in August, according to Ubisoft, was well received and more great content awaits us, the publisher promises. We recently wrote that another paid big DLC could get the subtitle Dawn of Ragnarök. And most recently, the game has expanded to include the Discovery Tour: Viking Age interactive tutorial mode.
