Nothing would launch its first smartphone in early 2022
Nothing, the company of Carl Pei (co-founder of OnePlus) has already released Ear headphones (1) and its next product would be a smartphone for the beginning of 2022. This would partly explain the recent partnership with Qualcomm.
A Nothing smartphone for 2022?
Information comes 91mobiles, which explains that Nothing’s smartphone should be launched relatively quickly, namely in early 2022. In fact, we may even start to see teasers for the device in the coming weeks. This is quite likely, knowing that the brand used the same technique with its headphones before officially announcing them.
There is currently no information on Nothing’s smartphone. But Carl Pei is the co-founder of OnePlus, so you can guess he knows what he’s doing. It is not an unknown market for him. Added to this is the fact that Nothing has bought Essential, the company of Andy Rubin who created a smartphone.
It is not the only product under development. True to its initial focus on accessories, the company reportedly intends to release an external battery called Nothing Power (1) before the end of 2021. There is no information on features or pricing, however. We will have to wait a few more weeks to find out more.
