Nokia, Sony and Ericsson are already withdrawing from MWC 2021
The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is expected in June. The smartphone manufacturers usually present their latest smartphone here, but the first brands have already withdrawn.
Large companies are withdrawing
There is news about the Mobile World Congress 2021, which should take place in June in the Spanish city of Barcelona. Last year, in the weeks before the start of the fair, thick dark clouds hung over the annual spectacle. After several manufacturers such as Ericsson, LG and Nokia pulled out, GSMA decided that the show should be canceled altogether.
For this year, the plan was to extend the start of the fair for a few months. Instead of hosting the Mobile World Congress in February, it should be in June. But there is already bad news. In February, the organization stated that the fair will continue, but that numerous measures are being taken against the spread of the corona virus.
Nokia and Sony have already decided that they will not be present at the 2021 edition of the MWC in Barcelona. The Swedish telecom network giant Ericsson has also said that it will not be present. Ericsson is usually one of the largest exhibitors at the fair. It is not clear what other manufacturers are going to do, but we have a hard head in this edition of the MWC.
